Excellent classes and a very nice practica/milonga. Good dancers, good sandwich de lomo, buena onda. The music is nice, but my one gripe is that the DJ usually only plays one (1!) milonga tanda during the whole evening, if you're lucky 2. Other than that it's perfect.

This milonga boasts the delightful, elusive combination of good dancing and openness to newcomers. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it seems like experienced dancers in Milonga 10 are more likely to try a tanda with an unfamiliar partner than they are at other milongas with a similar crowd (like El Yeite, La Viruta, etc). The venue has a stone floor (a bit slippery, bring your suede or rubber shoes) and a bare-bones bar. Overall, this place is un-intimidating, and there are lots of lovely dances to be had. A winner!

Not sure if this is called Practica 8 anymore.
A great Milonga. From what I understand the club was owned by Pugliese at one point. The dance area is relatively small, and so is the venue, which is why I like it personally. Great music and great dancers. There's usually a class at 20:00, this past month being taught by Ines Muzzopappa & Dante Sanchez.
Lasts until 03:00, so you can walk to Canning afterward and by the time you get there it's free to get in.
Try the sandwich de lomo from the bar, it's quite good.

Great practica.. good dancers arrive only by 12... young crowd but really good dancers.. looks like the cool kids go there but I found this to be very friendly... definitely a must try event... go to salon canning after this..
